DFA Statement on the Shooting Incident in Champs Élysée in Paris, France

The Philippine Government strongly condemns the terror attack that occurred on April 20, 2017 along Champs Élysée in Paris, France.

We stand in solidarity with France in its efforts to counter terrorism in all its forms.

To the families and friends of the police officer who was killed and to those wounded while on duty, we offer our sincerest sympathies.

The Philippine Embassy in Paris has reported that no Filipino was injured or killed in the shooting incident, and has advised the Filipino community to stay safe and to temporarily avoid the Champs Élysée area. END
