The Philippine Government deplores the attacks by the Sinai Province on military and interior ministry facilities in the North Sinai on 28 January 2015, which killed at least 30 people, including civilians.
The attacks took place in the evening with the Sinai Province using car bombs to attack government and military facilities, including checkpoints.
The Sinai Province is a militant group that pledged allegiance to the Islamic State. The Philippine Government reiterates its condemnation of the war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed by ISIS.
The Filipino people stands in solidarity with the people of Egypt in their grief as the Philippines has pursued its own campaign against terrorism.
The Philippines extends its deep condolences to the Egyptian government and to the families of those who were lost in the attacks. END
