08 December 2016 — The Department of Foreign Affairs, Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS), informs the public that the implementation of COMELEC’s iREHISTRO on-line application system for the resumption of registration / certification of qualified overseas Filipinos for purposes of the 2019 elections is held in abeyance, until further notice, as it is currently undergoing source code analysis by the Integrated Government Philippines (iGovPhil).

The COMELEC Official Website is under the web hosting facility of iGovPhil (in compliance with the National Privacy Commission).  The Source Code Analysis is part of iGovPhil’s process of checking the security or vulnerability of a website (iREHISTRO) before hosting.

Despite this, overseas voting registration is ongoing.  It started on  December 01, 2016 and will continue until September 30,  2018.

All Filipino citizens who expect to be abroad during the overseas voting period for the 2019 Elections from April 13 to May 13, 2019, are at least 18 years old on May 13, 2019, and not otherwise disqualified by law, may register as an overseas voter, at all Philippine Foreign Service Posts including the three (3) Manila Economic and Cultural Offices in Taiwan and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
