06 March 2017 - The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization with its Headquarters in Vienna is the international organization setting up the global verification system foreseen under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), which is the Treaty banning any nuclear-weapon-test explosion or any other nuclear explosion. The Treaty provides for a global verification regime, including a network of 337 stations worldwide, a communications system, an international data centre and on-site inspections to monitor compliance.
We seek to recruit a highly qualified candidate for the following position in the Commission’s Provisional Technical Secretariat:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Finance Officer – Payments to:
Receive and record incoming invoices, travel claims and other payment requests and respond verbally and in writing to queries from vendors and from staff members in relation to payment to be made;
Examine the received payment documents for compliance with the Financial Rules and Regulations, Directives and obligating documents as well as for mathematical correctness and, if applicable, for discounts;
In case of inconsistencies, request supporting documents, additional information, amendments and if necessary corrective action;
Prepare payment vouchers by deciding the appropriate use of funds, mode of payments and currency and make accounting entries;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Completed secondary education and financial training;
At least three years relevant working experience in the field of finance, including two years of payments experience, preferably in an an international environment;
Good knowledge of standard computer software (Word, Excel, etc.). Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage;
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential. Working knowledge of one of the other official languages of the CTBTO Preparatory Commission is an asset.

Remuneration/Contract:
Indicative tax-free annual net base salary of Euro 37,395 subject to deduction of contributions to the CTBTO Provident Fund and Health Insurance Scheme.
