DFA Consular Office Legazpi Empowers Women Through Financial Literacy Seminar in Celebration of National Women's Month

LEGAZPI 31 March 2025 — In celebration of National Women's Month, the DFA CO Legazpi, in partnership with the Regional Consular Office Bicol Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (RCOBEMPC), successfully conducted a seminar titled "Securing your Future: Maximizing the Benefits of SSS, Pag-IBIG, and GSIS." This initiative aimed to empower women, CO employees and cooperative members by providing crucial insights into financial security and investment opportunities.

The seminar, held on 22 March 2025, featured resource speakers from the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, and the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), who shared valuable updates, benefits, and investment products/services available to members. The event addressed the growing need for financial literacy, particularly among women, who often play pivotal roles in managing household finances and planning for the future. Additionally, the seminar served as a platform for participants to raise specific questions, ensuring that both CO employees, cooperative members including CO outsourced personnel, could access and benefit from the programs offered by these agencies. This inclusive approach aligns with the spirit of Women's Month, which emphasizes equality and empowerment for all.
