Philippine Consulate General Donates to Women’s Shelter in Guam

AGANA 19 March 2025 — In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Philippine Consulate General in Agana, Guam participated in a donation drive, organized by the Filipino Ladies Association of Guam (FLAG), for its beneficiary, Alee Shelter for Women and Children. The presentation of donations was held at the Catholic Social Services Office in Barrigada, Guam on 12 March 2025.

Vice Consul Daniella Bianca Villamin-Oriondo and Cultural Officer Helen Grace Cuisia from Agana PCG joined FLAG President Lesly Dayton and several FLAG officers and members during the presentation of donations. The donations were received by Ms. Leinani Nahalowa’a, Manager of Alee Shelter.

The Consulate’s personnel donated essential toiletries and other necessities, including bath towels, bath soap, detergent soap, diapers, baby wipes, and sanitary napkins. They also provided food items, such as cookies, crackers, and packed juice, all of which are meant to support the women and their children seeking refuge at the shelter.

The Consulate applauded the initiative of FLAG for its continued community service and charitable endeavors to help the needy, the vulnerable and the marginalized members, especially the women and children of the Filipino and Guam community. END
