10 March 2017--The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles launched the National Women’s Month Celebration during its flag-raising ceremony at the Consulate General Community Hall on February 27.

Vice Consul Dyan Kristine Miranda-Pastrana, GAD Focal Point Officer of the Consulate General, read the statement of the Philippine Government regarding the celebration to personnel and consular clients present during the ceremony.

In line with the celebration, the Consulate General slated a series of events highlighting this year’s celebration theme, “We Make Change Work for Women.” The events have been uploaded to the calendar of events of the Consulate General’s official website.

The celebration is in consonance with Proclamation No. 227 s. 1988 which provides for the observance of the Month of March as Women’s Role in History Month. END
