PHL Embassy in Warsaw Conducts Gender Sensitivity Seminar for Filipino Community in Poland

The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw conducted a Gender Sensitivity Seminar for the members of the Filipino Community in Poland on November 12 and December 10. The seminar consists of the discussion of basic GAD (Gender and Development) concepts including definition and difference of sex and gender, gender sensitivity, gender roles and gender issues with examples provided on each topic. The members were also given an overview of related laws relevant to GAD implementation and the vision of a gender-fair society. The presentation includes information on the 18-day campaign to end Violence Against Women (VAW) starting November 25 until December 12. The seminar is presented by Ms. Imelda de Joya as GAD Focal Person.
