PHL Embassy Personnel Participates in ECHO Training on Gender Analysis, Planning & Budgeting, Coaching & Mentoring, Psychological First-Aid

27 December 2017 DHAKA – Home-based and local-hired personnel of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Dhaka, Bangladesh participated in the Echo Training on Gender Analysis, Planning & Budgeting, Coaching & Mentoring, and Psychological First-Aid on December 14. The said activity was conducted by Ms. Joan Q. Jose, Embassy’s participant to the regional seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on December 02 to 08 of the above topics.

The echo training focused on identifying gender issues to understand and identify solutions applicable in handling Filipinos in distress in Bangladesh. Embassy personnel also received basic training in conducting psychological first-aid as well as ways to meditate and manage stress.

The activity was formally opened by Third Secretary and Vice-Consul LV I. de Guzman at the Philippine Chancery. The echo training was organized as part of the Department of Foreign Affairs Gender and Development Program, which aims to promote gender sensitivity and equality in the consciousness of foreign service personnel.
