10 March 2017, MANILA – The Philippine Senate passed on Second Reading Senate Resolution 320 entitled, “Resolution Concurring in the Accession to the Paris Agreement” on March 08.

The approval came after the Senate’s Committee on Foreign Relations submitted its committee report after the Subcommittee on the Paris Agreement’s hearing on the said treaty.

Prior to the resolution’s approval on Second Reading, Subcommittee Chair Senator Loren Legarda delivered her sponsorship speech (https://goo.gl/bqEhdz) and presided over the periods of interpellation and amendments on the resolution at the Senate’s Plenary Hall.

The resolution will be taken up by the Senate for Third Reading, tentatively on Monday, March 13. END
