25 July 2017 DFA —Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano and four members of the Sub-Committee on Human Rights (DROI) of the European Parliament met on July 18 to discuss Philippines-EU relations, human rights, and the latest developments in the Philippines.

The DROI Delegation was composed of Members of European Parliament (MEPs) Soraya Post (Socialists and Democrats [S&D], Sweden), Ádám Kósa (European People’s Party, Hungary), Josef Weidenholzer (S&D, Austria), and Rikke Karlsson (European Conservatives and Reformists, Denmark). The MEPs were accompanied by European Union Delegation Chargé d'Affaires Mattias Lentz and First Secretary Jérôme Rivière.  The Secretary was joined by Representative Pia Cayetano and DFA officials.
