President Duterte to Chair the 20th ASEAN-China Summit in Manila

 

12 November 2017 - President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will chair the 20th ASEAN-China Summit to be held in Manila on 13 November 2017. It will be attended by his fellow ASEAN Leaders and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

 

Leaders of ASEAN and China will discuss the current state and future direction of ASEAN-China Dialogue Partnership. They are also expected to announce the start of the negotiations on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea (COC), following the adoption of the Framework of the COC by the Foreign Ministers of ASEAN and China last August 2017 in Manila.
