Signing of the Administrative Arrangement for the Implementation of the Agreement on Social Security Between the Republic of the Philippines and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

See, Senior Vice President and Head of the International Operations Group, Social Security System (SSS), and Mr. Thomas Dominique, Director of the General Inspectorate of Social Security of the Ministry of Social Security, Luxembourg, sign the Administrative Arrangement for the Implementation of the Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of the Philippines and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

31 January 2018 – With the Philippine and Luxembourg delegations as witnesses, SSS Senior Vice President Judy Frances A. See and Mr. Thomas Dominique, Director of the General Inspectorate of Social Security of the Luxembourg Ministry of Social Security, signed the Administrative Arrangement for the Implementation of the PH-LU Social Security Agreement at the end of a three-day meeting, commencing on 17 January.

The Administrative Arrangement, which was agreed upon and initialed in Manila on 21 July 2016, sets out the measures required to implement the PH-LU SSA and the include the list of competent Philippine and Luxembourg authorities that will oversee the implementation of the agreement.  Also discussed and approved during the three-day meeting were the liaison forms that will be used by the beneficiaries of the SSA.

Officers from the Social Security System (SSS), the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), formed the Philippine delegation to the meeting while officials from the Ministry of Social Security composed the delegation from Luxembourg.
