14 February 2018 MANILA — The Philippines and China convened the Second Meeting of the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism on the South China Sea (SCS) yesterday, 13 February 2018 in Manila, Philippines.

DFA Undersecretary for Policy Enrique Manalo and Vice Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou led the discussion of issues related to developments in the South China Sea and possible cooperative activities in order to build mutual trust and confidence and further enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
