PH, Denmark Conduct Inaugural Bilateral Consultations in Copenhagen

COPENHAGEN 19 APRIL 2018 – The Philippines and Denmark reached a new milestone in their growing bilateral relations as they concluded the first Philippines-Denmark Bilateral Consultations in Copenhagen on 16 April 2018.
Undersecretary Enrique A. Manalo headed the Philippine delegation to the historic consultations, which coincided with the 72nd anniversary of Philippines-Denmark diplomatic relations.
The Danish side was co-headed by Permanent State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mr. Ulrik Vestergaard Knudsen and State Secretary for Trade Ms. Susanne Hydlelund. Both sides discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, and exchanged views on regional and global developments. During the consultations, the Philippines also notified Denmark of its intention to open a Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen, as a reflection of the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.
