Secrertary Locsin Visits PH Embassy in Vienna

15 March 2019 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin Jr. and Madame Maria Lourdes B. Locsin visited the Philippine Embassy and Permanent Mission in Vienna, and was warmly received by Ambassador to Austria Maria Cleofe Natividad, the officers and staff of the Embassy on 13 March 2019.

After a tour of the Chancery, the Secretary was given a briefing of the Embassy's work plan for the next few years, including its Mission and Vision to develop the Embassy as the Science Diplomacy hub of the Philippine Foreign Service. A video of this advocacy was likewise shown to the Secretary.

On a lighter note, the Ambassador led Embassy personnel in performing for the Secretary their signature song, “Tagumpay Nating Lahat.”

Secretary Locsin also visited the Embassy’s consular section and had a chance to observe its day-to-day operations. There, he had the opportunity to meet with some Filipino community members who were applying for consular services.

Ambassador Natividad hosted Secretary Locsin, Madame Locsin and the rest of the delegation for lunch at the official Residence. They were serenaded on the cello by Filipino child musical prodigy Damodar Das, who is a scholar at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. END
