DFA Consular Office in General Santos City Commemorates its 11th Year Anniversary

GENERAL SANTOS CITY 14 January 2020 –– The Consular Office (CO) in General Santos City celebrated its 11th year anniversary on 06 January 2020.
The Consular Office was established on 05 January 2009 by virtue of Executive Order No. 748, s. 2008, upon the government’s policy to effect efficient delivery of basic public services by bringing it closer to the people and the Department of Foreign Affairs’ (DFA) desire of providing consular services to cover the widest possible areas.
A simple program was observed during the weekly flag-raising ceremony of the office. Acting Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Helen Grace A. Tabora shared a brief history and the humble beginnings of the Consular Office as she was one of the pioneer personnel detailed in the said office since its establishment. END
