QUEZON CITY 02 March 2020 – A workshop on the United Nations Inter-regional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) Project: “Support to Member States on the adoption of diversion and alternative measures in the juvenile justice system to foster crime prevention” was held from 19 to 20 February 2020 in Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, Quezon City.
The event was organized by UNICRI and the Philippine government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Juvenile Justice Welfare Council. The workshop identified gaps, challenges, and opportunities in the application and use of alternative and diversion methods in the country towards the drafting of Plan of Action to improve the juvenile justice system of the Philippines.
