UAE Ambassador Pays Farewell Call On Secretary Locsin

PASAY CITY 21 July 2020 — Outgoing United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to the Philippines Hamad Saeed Al-Zaabi paid a farewell call on Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. on 21 July 2020 at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The UAE envoy will end his tour of duty in July 2020. He presented his credentials to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in December 2016.
A career diplomat, Ambassador Al-Zaabi advanced Philippine-UAE relations by facilitating frequent consultations between senior officials. He also personally turned over the UAE Government’s donation of 7,000 kilograms of personal protective equipment (PPEs) and medical supplies in May 2020 in support of the Philippine Government’s efforts against COVID-19.
The UAE is the Philippines’ top trading partner in the Middle East and hosts one of the largest overseas Filipino communities in the world. END
