CAGAYAN DE ORO 16 May 2022 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) formally inaugurated the new location of the Department’s Consular Office (CO) in Cagayan de Oro and its 20th Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS), both located at SM CDO Downtown Premier Mall in Cagayan de Oro City (CDO) on 04 May 2022.
SM CDO Downtown Premier Mall has been home to the Department’s Consular Office in Cagayan de Oro since 05 July 2021 while TOPS CDO had its soft-launch on 04 April 2022.
TOPS CDO will only accept simple passport renewal applications, meaning, those who wish to renew their passport “as is”, i.e. without any changes in their passport bio-page and without any complications, may obtain an online appointment at any of these sites.
New passport applications and complex applications, such as lost passports and applications requiring change in the name or personal details of the applicant, among others, will not be accommodated.
The inauguration of TOPS CDO is the completion of the promise made by Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin Jr. last year to open 20 TOPS sites to deliver faster and more convenient consular service to the Filipino public.
During the pandemic, the Department was able to open 20 TOPS sites nationwide: 9 in the National Capital Region, 2 in CALABARZON, 4 in Central Luzon, 3 in Visayas and 2 in Mindanao.
The complete list of DFA’s Consular Offices and TOPS sites is available through these links: https://consular.dfa.gov.ph/transparency/co-directory and https://consular.dfa.gov.ph/transparency/tops-directory .
Those who want to book a passport appointment at any of the Department’s Consular Offices and TOPS sites may visit www.passport.gov.ph.
The Department’s official website does not charge any appointment fee and the DFA strongly cautions the public against transacting with online fixers and appointment setters who are offering their services to secure appointments for a fee. END
