JAKARTA 10 March 2023 – Philippine Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) Leader and Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro had a meeting with SOM Leader and Assistant Secretary Daniel Kritenbrink of the United States on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit Senior Officials Meeting on 8 March 2023 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

They agreed to further deepen cooperation between the Philippines and the United States. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest. The U.S. reiterated its commitment to working with ASEAN to promote peace and stability in the region. END
