ACEN AVP Pays Courtesy Call on Incoming PH Ambassador to Indonesia

MANILA 20 March 2023 – Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Assistant Secretary for International Economic Relations Gina A. Jamoralin received Mr. Jaime Urquijo, Assistant Vice President for Business Development of ACEN, on 13 March 2023 in a courtesy call at the DFA. 

ACEN is part of the Ayala Group of Companies engaged in providing renewable energy platforms in the Philippines, Vietnam, Australia, India, and Indonesia.   

ACEN AVP Urquijo briefed Assistant Secretary Jamoralin, who will soon be assuming her post as the Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia, on the company’s existing projects in Indonesia. 

ACEN set up the 75MW Sidrap wind farm in South Sulawesi, which is considered Indonesia’s first utility scale wind farm.  The company is also part of the consortium of Star Energy Geothermal which operates the 663 MW (combined capacity) of Salak and Darajat geothermal plants in West Java.

Assistant Secretary Jamoralin is pleased to know that a wholly-owned Filipino company is at the forefront of providing renewable energy not just in the Philippines but also overseas.  She lauds ACEN in contributing to the global decarbonization efforts and a key partner to attaining a more sustainable future. 

Former Philippine Ambassador Marciano Paynor, who served as Head of Corporate Support Services for Ayala Corporation, was also present during the call. END
