DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga Inaugurates “Special Care Counters” to Commemorate 29th Anniversary

11 July 2023 – The DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga inaugurated its “Special Care Counters” for applicants in need of particular attention on 06 July 2023 as part of the office’s “Lingap Program” in commemoration of the 29th anniversary of the DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga. 

The DFA Special Care counters, designed for applicants to easily access the facilities, include a lowered processing counter that is conveniently accessible to applicants in wheelchairs and those who have difficulty standing up during the processing interview and a wider encoding lot to fit a wheelchair.  These special care counters were reconfigured in cooperation with Robinsons Starmills Management to provide maximum service and comfort to applicants in need of special attention and for those with special medical conditions.  The “Special Care Counters” are in addition to the Priority Lanes which service the elderly, PWDs, pregnant women and infants. 

DFA Pampanga’s “Lingap Program” is a continuing care program to respond to various needs of applicants. It pays special attention to applicants with special needs.  To date, “DFA’s Lingap” projects include free blood pressure check, sugar level test, and oxygen level check to all applicants through its Health Drive, sign language lessons, and computer assistance.   

In addition, the DFA Consular Office’s 29th Anniversary also paid tribute to Kapampangan cuisine through a Kapampangan street food fiesta as part of the office’s cultural diplomacy promotion. 

Inaugurated on 08 June 1994, DFA Pampanga was among the first DFA Regional Offices established by the DFA to bring passport services closer to the public in Region III. END
