26 Filipinos Repatriated from Oddar Meanchey Province, Cambodia

MANILA 16 April 2025 — The Philippine Embassy in Cambodia confirms the repatriation of 26 Filipinos from Oddar Meanchey Province in Cambodia today, 16 April 2025.
The Philippine Embassy, upon the request of the concerned Filipinos, had made official representations with the Cambodian government for their release from a company in Samraong Municipality, Oddar Meanchey Province.
The Philippine Government appreciates the assistance extended by the Royal Government of Cambodia in this regard.
The effective coordination between the Embassy and the Cambodian authorities is a testament to the long-standing friendly ties between the Philippines and Cambodia and highlights both governments’ readiness to cooperate closely in matters of mutual concern.
Representatives from government agencies, including the DFA, DMW, OWWA, and IACAT, were at the airport to personally receive the 26 repatriates and provide them assistance.
The DFA assures the public that its Assistance-to-Nationals mandate remains a priority for all Philippine Foreign Service Posts.
