10 More Filipinos Repatriated from Oddar Meanchey, Cambodia
MANILA 20 April 2025 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirms that 10 more Filipinos from Oddar Meanchey Province in Cambodia were safely repatriated earlier today with the assistance of Cambodian law enforcement authorities and the Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh. Representatives from government agencies, including the DFA, DMW, OWWA, and IACAT, were at the airport to personally receive the repatriates and provide them assistance.
The 10 Filipinos arrived at the Immigration headquarters in Phnom Penh yesterday after a nine-hour journey from Oddar Meanchey, where they were met by the Embassy ATN team who distributed care packages.
This latest repatriation, which was paid for by the DFA's Assistance to Nationals (ATN) Fund, was made possible through continued collaboration rooted in longstanding friendly ties between the Philippines and Cambodia.
The Philippine Foreign Service urges prudence and discernment among Filipino online job seekers and renews its call for the Filipino public to heed the Embassy’s Advisory No. 09-2025 on deceptive overseas job opportunities peddled on social media. END
