DFA Secretary Enrique A. Manalo to Undertake Working Visit to Japan 

MANILA 27 May 2025 —  Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo will undertake a working visit to Japan from 28 to 30 May 2025. 

At the invitation of Nikkei Inc., a leading media organization in Japan, Secretary Manalo is scheduled to speak at the 30th edition of its “Future of Asia” (FOA) forum with the theme “Asia’s Challenge in a Turbulent World”. 

The event, held annually since 1995, gathers political, economic and academic leaders from the Asia-Pacific region to share views and perspectives on issues facing the region.

During the visit, Secretary Manalo is also scheduled to meet his Japanese counterpart, Foreign Minister IWAYA Takeshi, to follow through on the outcome of the meeting between President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Japanese Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru on 29 April 2025 in Manila. END
