RCO Baguio tree planting

24 July 2013 - In compliance with Executive Order No. 26 or the National Greening Program (NGP), the Department of Foreign Affairs Regional Consular Office in Baguio (RCO Baguio), led by Officer-in-Charge Edgar C. Canta, successfully undertook its first-tree planting activity on July 21 at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) compound in Baguio City.

The conduct of the activity is also a way of supporting the Cordillera Administrative Region which is celebrating its 26th anniversary with the theme, “Bridging One Green Cordillera.”

Mr. Canta conveyed RCO Baguio’s appreciation to the officials and personnel of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Cordillera Administrative Region (DENR) which provided the saplings that were planted, and the PMA Command for sponsoring the venue. 

Certificates of appreciation were presented to DENR’s Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENR) Officer Edgardo Flor, who was duly represented by Overall NGP Coordinator Denver Atompag, and Maj. Norberto Aromin, Jr., Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operation, for their kind assistance and close coordination prior to and during the event.    END
