The Philippine Government welcomes the signing of the protocol on ceasefire between the representatives of Ukraine, Russia, and other parties concerned on 5 September 2014 in Minsk, Belarus. The ceasefire is a first step towards resolving the crisis in Ukraine, and achieving durable peace and stability.

The Philippine Government, therefore, urges all parties to the conflict to abide by the terms of the ceasefire.

The Philippine Government has consistently supported the holding of dialogue among the parties involved with a view to achieving peaceful resolution in accordance with international law. END
