The Philippine government joins the international community in condemning, in the strongest terms, the terror attacks that killed more than 30 Egyptian soldiers on Friday, 24 October 2014, in Northern Sinai.

The Philippines extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the attacks and proclaims its solidarity with the Egyptian government and people during this difficult time.

We support the Egyptian government in its efforts to subdue violence arising from religious extremism and in its determination to prevent such heinous acts of terror from happening again. END
