Public Advisory: Number of COVID-19 Cases Among Filipinos Abroad (As of 30 March 2020)

As of 30 March 2020, there are now 203* countries, areas or territories around the world affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 348 OFs from 30 countries/ regions covering Asia and Pacific, Europe, Middle East/Africa, and Americas have contracted the disease; of which 228 are undergoing treatment,111 have recovered, and 5 new deaths from the European region reported since yesterday. Europe, a region with a relatively large OFW presence, is one of the epicenters of COVID-19.

The DFA’s personnel in our foreign service posts face the challenges brought about by this disease together with our people abroad, and remain committed to ensuring their welfare.
