Public Advisory: Number of COVID-19 Cases Among Filipinos Abroad (As of 08 September 2020)

Today, the DFA reports no new fatalities among Filipinos abroad due to COVID-19. Meanwhile, there are 7 new confirmed cases and 10 new recoveries recorded in Asia and the Pacific. Furthermore, DOH-verified cases are now at 2,004. No new reports were received from other regions.

To date, the Middle East remains to be the region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, under treatment, and fatalities among Filipino nationals. Meanwhile the Americas now has the least numbers in all categories compared to other geographic regions, except in the total number of deaths, where Asia and the Pacific ranks lowest with only 8 deaths.
