Public Advisory: Number of COVID-19 Cases Among Filipinos Abroad (As of 14 September 2020)
Today, the DFA reports spikes both in the confirmed new COVID-19 cases and recoveries among Filipinos abroad, bringing the total number for each category to over 10,300 and over 6,500, respectively. The reported rise in numbers is due to delays in reporting owing to privacy laws in one territory located in Asia and the Pacific.
Meanwhile, 4 new COVID-19 fatalities were also recorded in the Middle East, while 21 new cases were verified by the DOH IHR in the same region and in Asia and the Pacific today.
The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic.
