Public Advisory: Number of COVID-19 Cases Among Filipinos Abroad (As of 18 September 2020)

Today, the DFA reports no new fatalities, 25 new confirmed cases, and 15 new recoveries from COVID-19 among our Filipinos abroad in Asia and the Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The two previously reported recoveries in a country in the Middle East were removed from the list upon verification with Post.

Moreover, today’s report from Africa also raises the number of countries with Filipino COVID-19 patients to 78.

The DFA personnel in our foreign service posts remain steadfast in partnering with local health authorities and agencies in ensuring that the Filipino communities abroad adhere to the preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, and commit to tirelessly attending to the needs of affected Filipinos, whenever possible.
