Public Advisory: Number of COVID-19 Cases Among Filipinos Abroad (As of 05 October 2020)

Today, the DFA reports spikes both in the new confirmed COVID-19 cases and recoveries among Filipinos abroad, bringing the total number for each category to over 10,800 and 6,900, respectively, in Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and Middle East. Meanwhile, 5 new fatalities were recorded in Asia and the Pacific and in the Middle East. To date, there are already 2,421 verified cases by the DOH-IHR.

The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic.
