Ambassadors of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Kuwait Present Credentials to President Marcos
MANILA 16 June 2025 — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received the credentials of four newly appointed resident ambassadors in a formal ceremony held at Malacañan Palace on 10 June 2025. Acting Secretary for Foreign Affairs Charles Jose and Deputy Chief of Presidential Protocol Dennis Briones joined the President in welcoming the ambassadors.
The ambassadors who formally presented their credentials were:
- H.E. Asima Rabbani - Islamic Republic of Pakistan
- H.E. Faisal Ebraheem Alajrafi Alghamdi - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- H.E. Makawadee Sumitmor - Kingdom of Thailand
- H.E. Meshari Y.M.A. Alnibari - State of Kuwait
The presentation of credentials marks the official commencement of their diplomatic functions as their respective countries' representatives to the Republic of the Philippines. This event reaffirms the Philippines’ commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships and international collaboration.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Office of Protocol, led by Assistant Secretary and Chief of Protocol Ariel Rodelas Peñaranda, provided protocol assistance during the ceremony, in close collaboration with the Office of Presidential Protocol. END
