DFA Mindanao Partners with Office of Protocol to Deliver Protocol Training for BARMM-MENRE

DAVAO 24 July 2025 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Mindanao, in coordination with DFA – Office of Protocol (DFA-OP), successfully hosted a Training on Basic Diplomatic and Government Protocol for the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on 09-10 July 2025 at the Conference Room of the DFA Mindanao office.

The training was facilitated by DFA-OP Assistant Secretary and Chief of Protocol Ariel R. Peñaranda, along with Acting Director Christian Andrei C. Aguilar, FSO III, and Mr. Paulo S. Enriquez, FSSO IV.

A comprehensive lecture on the principles and applications of diplomatic, ceremonial, and social protocol was delivered by the OP officials, followed by interactive simulation exercises on various protocol procedures.

DFA Mindanao Assistant Secretary Maria Agnes M. Cervantes emphasized the importance of the training in preparing BARMM-MENRE officials to effectively handle official visits and diplomatic engagements involving both local and foreign dignitaries. END
