We are deeply saddened by the passing of the Honorable Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago.

We had the honor and privilege of working with the Honorable Senator during her chairmanship of the Senate Commitee on Foreign Relations. She displayed unrelenting support in the promotion and protection of Philippine interests in the global community.

May her brilliant and sterling career in the judicial, executive and legislative branches serve as an inspiration and example to all public servants.
