12 October 2016 — Secretary of Foreign Affairs Perfecto R. Yasay, Jr. received a high-level Polish delegation, led by Undersecretary of State for Development, Cooperation, Africa and the Middle East, Asia, Economic Diplomacy and Human Rights Joanna Wronecka of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 10.

During the courtesy call, Secretary Yasay conveyed the Philippines’ interest in advancing its trade and investment relations with Poland and stronger people-to- people exchanges anchored on the strong cultural affinities that exist between both countries. For her part, Undersecretary Wronecka expressed appreciation for the warm welcome accorded to them and Poland’s plans to re-open its Embassy in Manila.

In addition to the Political Consultations, Undersecretary Wronecka is also leading a business delegation composed of representatives from key Polish companies during this visit to Manila.  END.
