20 December 2016 – A car packed with explosives targeted a public bus carrying civilians and off-duty soldiers in front of Erciyes University in Kayseri killing 13 soldiers and wounding 56. The Philippine Embassy in Ankara reported that no Filipinos were killed or injured in the attack.
