26 January 2017 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Regional Consular Office (RCO) La Union joined in the commemoration of National Autism Consciousness Week 2017 from January 16 to 21.

During the program, Mr. Kim Han Piell P. Carmelo, Secretary to the Officer-in-Charge and Communications Officer read the brief introduction about Autism after the flag raising ceremony.

All officers and staff of this RCO, spearheaded by Officer-in-Charge, Ms. Estellita V. Casuga, recited the short promise (1 Pangako) which was led by Mr. Carmelo:

1 Pangako

Ako ay nangangakong kikilos

para mahinto

ang maling paggamit

ng salitang “autistic”

bilang kutya o katatawanan.

Isusulong ko

ang tunay na pagtanggap

at pagkalinga

sa mga taong may kapansanan,

sa tulong ng Maykapal.
