11 July 2016 – RCO La Union commences the newly launched DFA Centralized Online Passport Applications and Online Appointments on July 01. OFWs Vicente Urbien Ursulom, Jr, a seaman for 20 years and hails from Magsingal, Ilocos Sur and OFW Catherine Escapular Abando from Bagulin, La Union are one of the first 235 RCO La Union online applicants for the week.

The following applicants are excluded from the appointment system: senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women and minors below 7 years old.

The DFA Centralized online passport application is free of charge and makes it more convenient to apply for a Philippine passport.  For scheduling and filing of online application, applicants can visit DFA-OCA’s website, https://www.passport.gov.ph.
