15 February 2017 LA UNION — Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Regional Consular Office (RCO) La Union celebrated the 2017 Civil Registration Month in cooperation with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region 1 – Regional Statistical Services Office 1 (PSA RO1-RSSO 1) on February 11.

Mr. Jessie E. Campos, Administrative Aide IV and Outlet Supervisor and Ms. Michelle S. Delos Trinos, Service Contractor, both from PSA RO1-RSSO 1 conducted a lecture seminar on the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade and Updates on Civil Registration Procedures.

The RCO’s Officer-in-Charge, Ms. Estellita V. Casuga, as well as personnel from this RCO, contract of service, outsourced, DFAMPC, Philcare and NC Lanting Security Guards attended and actively participated in the said lecture-seminar.

OIC Casuga, in her opening remarks, said that the PSA’s lecture seminar is an opportune time to dialogue with the RCO’s personnel on the updates and further clarifications on the Civil Registration Procedure and the documents required for passport processing.

February is Civil Registration Month (CRM) pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 682 and the theme for this year’s celebration is “Pilipinong Rehistrado, Matatag na Kinabukasan ay Sigurado.”

CRM highlights the importance of Civil Registry documents and it seeks to instill awareness on the declaration of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade from year 2014-2024.END
