03 March 2017 ILOILO — Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Regional Consular Office (RCO) Iloilo joined the celebration of 2017 National Autism Consciousness Week from January 15 to 21 and from February 05 to 11, by raising awareness on autism and the emotional and psychological impact of misusing the word “autistic.”.

During the flag raising ceremony, the consular office staff listened to a brief talk on the nature of autism before jointly making a pledge to provide understanding and assistance to individuals with autism.

The consular office encourage the public to support the advocacy by inking in their promises on colorful post-it notes that were displayed at the consular office’s bulletin board. END
