Philippines and Russia Successfully Concluded 10th Policy Consultations in Manila

09 May 2017 MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs’ (DFA) Office of European Affairs (OEA) hosted the 10th Philippines-Russian Policy Consultations on April 20 held at the Shangri-la Hotel in Makati City.
The Consultations were co-chaired by the DFA OEA Assistant Secretary Maria Cleofe Natividad and Ambassador Lyudmila G. Vorobyova, Director of the Third Asian Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the Consultations, the Philippines and Russia sides had discussions on general political and economic developments in the Philippines and in Russia; preparations for the Official Visit of the President to Russia later this month; status of pending agreements; and other regional and multilateral issues of mutual concern.
The next Policy Consultations will be hosted by Russian Federation in Russia. END
