Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano Hosts Eid Al Fitr for the Diplomatic Corps

14 July 2017 MANILA — Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alan Peter S. Cayetano hosted a diplomatic reception in celebration of the Eid al Fitr on July 06, 2017 at the Samsung Hall, Level 6, SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City Taguig with the theme “Building Bridges through Music.”
Secretary Cayetano says the event was dedicated to “our dear Muslim brothers and sisters and all our friends in the diplomatic corps” to celebrate the important occasion marking the end holy month of Ramadan.
In his message, the Secretary conveyed that all nations must take concerted efforts in promoting peace and to overcome the scourge of violence and extremism, mentioning the current situation in Marawi.
In line with the event’s theme, the evening featured a selection of music pieces from various traditions — Filipino, European, and Middle Eastern.
The celebration was organized in cooperation of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA) and SM Aura. END
