DFA-HRMO Conducts Seminar on Stress Management

HRMO 2

03 September 2017 — The Human Resources Management Office, in partnership with The Medical City, conducted a seminar on stress management on August 24 at the CMOAS Conference Room. The seminar aimed to raise awareness on overcoming work-related stress and enhancing work-life balance among DFA personnel.

Dr. Luzviminda Katigbak, the seminar’s resource speaker, underscored that not all stresses are bad.  Moderate levels of stress may actually improve performance and efficiency, while too little stress may result in boredom and too much stress may lead to burnout and health problems. She then taught the participants the signs and symptoms of too much stress, as well as tips on how to manage it before it leads to burnout and anxiety.

The seminar is a part of HRMO’s lecture series on common health issues of DFA personnel aimed at fostering well-being and enhancing productivity in the workplace.

Resource materials on this and previous topic are available at the Wellness Unit, HRMO. END
