 HRMO debriefing

10 September 2017 SINGAPORE — In line with its steadfast commitment to promote the welfare and well-being of foreign service personnel, the Human Resources Management Office conducted another Strategic Wellness Seminar and Debriefing Program at the Philippine Embassy in Singapore from September 01 to 03.

Ms. Maria Teodora Dizon, psychological consultant and director for institutional training from Better Steps Psychology Inc. facilitated the program. The first module provided psychosocial support to consular and assistance-to-nationals officers and staff through one-on-one “helping dialogues”.

The second module, “Debriefing, Training and Fortification for Foreign Service: The Preparedness Plan”, was attended by the officers and staff of the Embassy and other partner agencies.

The lecture-workshop taught the participants how to identify external and internal stressors as well as strategies on how to manage them. The seminar ended with useful techniques on improving relations with colleagues and customers.

HRMO’s expanded wellness programs for foreign service posts aim to invigorate foreign service personnel while at the same time optimizing their efficiency as public servants. END
