Regional Consular Office in Dumaguete celebrates 2nd Year

27 October 2017 Dumaguete — RCO Dumaguete celebrated the 2nd year anniversary of its establishment on October 19. A three-day successful activity has been realized with the full effort of RCO Dumaguete personnel headed by the Officer-in-Charge, Mr. Reynold D. Banda.

The anniversary celebrations were highlighted by the launching of the RCO’s Sentro Rizal with Retired Ambassador MacArthur F. gracing the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The RCO also raised awareness against Trafficking in Persons by posting a tarpaulin at its office entrance and distributed flyers on Modus & Red Flags on Modern-Day Slavery and Primer on RA 10364 to all its applicants. The 3-day activity concluded with a basic orientation on RA 10364, the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012 with Mr. Romualdo L. Señeris II, Regional Coordinator of Visayan Forum as its resource speaker.

Partner agencies and NGOs such as Department of Labor and Employment, Philippine Information Agency, Philippine Statistics Authority, Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP), Visayan Forum and Robinsons Land Corporation participated in the celebrations. END
