Undersecretary Enrique Manalo Welcomes Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno L.P. Marsudi to Davao

05 January 2018 DAVAO — DFA Undersecretary Enrique A. Manalo (third from right), together with Department of Education (Dep. Ed.) Undersecretary Lorna Dino and other DFA and Dep. Ed. officials welcomed Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno L.P. Marsudi (left) during her visit to Davao City on 03 January 2017, to call on President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, and announce Indonesia’s assistance in preventing extremist ideology from reestablishing roots among Islamic schools (madrassas) in Marawi City and neighboring areas.  During her visit, Minister Marsudi also visited the Al Munawara Islamic School in the city, and presided over the issuance of Indonesian identity documents for Indonesians living in Southern Mindanao.  Accompanying the Foreign Minister were Indonesian officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
