DFA Joins “Angels Walk for Autism 2018”

17 January 2018 MANILA — The Department of Foreign Affairs joined the Autism Society Philippines (ASP) and other organizations for the differently-abled, educational institutions, medical professionals, and government agencies in the “Angels Walk for Autism” at the Mall of Asia Arena on 14 January. The event is organized annually by the ASP as the kick-off event of the National Autism Consciousness Week, a national observance created under Proclamation No. 711, s. 1996 by President Fidel V. Ramos.

This year’s theme, "From Awareness to Acceptance, Accommodation, Appreciation", is a multi-sectoral call for making the changes needed to build an autism-inclusive global society. It aims to inspire awareness, acceptance, accommodation, and appreciation of autism in all sectors of society. END
